History

History of Vengeance

We may bear a new name, but we have a long and proud history, one of courage, honour and loyalty. One of Brothers and Sisters in Arms fighting against impossible, with limited resources having to rely upon experience and skill to survive.

The rebirth of Planetarion brought on a tide of enthusiasm back into the members of Violent Death and as the hordes flocked once again to their banners, so do this the Brother and Sisters of the Past. Those from long forgotten past in the days of Ultra Violence and Black Death, once again have risen to stand along side the brothers. There was a cry from amongst the Brotherhood for change for a rebirth to give us a new strength in the days ahead.

So the horde gathered and discussed for many weeks and long hours, they reinstated some old rules with the new, New weapons and tools were forged. From the whispers of the past came the call and it was the call for Vengeance. So we took it with both hands and made it out own, we have sought Vengeance throughout our history and so now have embraced it as our Banner our Name and our Statement.

We are Brother and Sisters who show courage, honour and loyalty in the face of death of those around us. We shall seek Vengeance upon those who have done us harm in the past or mean to do us harm in the future. We shall not sit by the way side, we shall not bow knee to those who wish to oppress us we shall rebel with all our strength even unto our dieing breath, in the comfort that those who follow us will seek out our wraith as they seek Vengeance so our souls may rest. History of Violent Death

Violent Death was spawned from a powerful merger between two of the best and longest standing alliances in the game. These two alliances were Courage enough to take on the biggest alliances in the game, looking fear in the eye then crushing it to powder. Honourable enough to Stand with their brothers and look death in the face on their feet, instead backstabbing and cheating their way threw the game. They were Loyal to their Allies and one another, do everything they could to ensure growth and security for their members. These Two alliances were called Ultra Violence and Black Death.

The merger was difficult with many stumbling blocks as any merger is bound to have. We saw many Commanders activity declining due to real life issues, creating a major strain on those left to hold the fort. Under these Circumstances Violent Death still was able to give it to the Arch Enemy of both BD and UV, the name dreaded and feared by all alliance one to be avoided at all costs. UV and BD ever never timid of Fury or Legion in the past and it wasn't going to start now.

The members of Violent Death called for blood and so we gave them it, in the form of regular attacks on Fury targets. VD Commanders saw a way to improve the effectiveness of our strikes on Fury and so put to work to accomplish it.

The Plan was simple find two other alliances working closely together to bring down the biggest players and galaxies Fury had to Offer, while they concentrated on the bigger players and galaxies, Violent Death raided the outlying systems that made up the support blocks for the Fury war machine. This would leave Fury and its Allies with a major drain on their resources causing their destruction. What is generally unknown is who these two alliances were; one of the alliances didn't even know they were working with us. They were Titians who happened to be the Target Organisers for the hordes of LDK. The combination was effective we striped chucks of the Fury War Machine with each hour, combining striking range and power, experience and skill to form one of the most skilfully executed strikes the game as ever seen.

With Violent Death striking on the heals of the support galaxies, the major strikes laid on by LDK and Titans were open to higher success rates due to the Fury Support galaxies being other wise occupied. The Fury War Machine did what they always did and their Generals called the hordes to abandon the outlying sectors to defend the Main bases. This left Violent Death with the opening it needed, so our members opened up on the support galaxies in there masses. The other alliances seeing the score and roids falling of the Fury War Machine, jumped in for their share of the spoils. So Fury saw their darkest days as there once proud bases went up in flames around them their troops lost all hope and retreated from the battlefields where the dead and wounded lay.

What was the biggest disappointment was not being able to complete the destruction of the Fury War Machine, due to the untimely demise of the funds for Planetarion's Internet Service Provider. So we were robed of our chance to see the fruits of our labour. But has history saw it Fury went they way of the winds anyway.

With the death of Planetarion Violent Death went on to play other games, many members taking the now available time to get back into real life and sort out that pile of "things I will do tomorrow". Many alliances died during this time some went on to play other games and other sat in the shadows wondering if the ripple of time had truly run out for the once Ultimate Game called Planetarion.

History of BlackDeath

The history of Black Deathreaches back to Round 2, when BlackDeath was founded out of a wing of lost/pop by Acidik and Titonis, who was Leader of POP (Pawns of Prophecy).

In Round 3 Acidik had to leave for some strange thing called private life and 'education' and Rhine took over. After Rhine took control, Black Death merged in CVS (Corvus), a new founded alliance born by the merge of SGF (Small Gang of Fighters) and DTA. Many big names have been High Council of Black Death in Round 3, e.g. Rumad as Battle Commander, Slinkee and Eagle.

However, end of Round 3, Acidik came back and there has been big hassle, leading to kick of Acidik from BlackDeath, foundage of Assassins and many permanent bans. Many members left then or have been kicked.

BlackDeath struggled somewhat in Round 4, mainly because of parallels and BlackDeath members due to BlackDeath neutral status and therefore presence in almost every Cluster Alliance throughout the universe. This leaded to some difficulties defending own members while respecting all allies/naps the own galaxy was in. As a result, many BlackDeath members quit entire Planetarion that round.

Despite of this, Top10 galaxies contained a few Black Death members.

End of Round 4, Rhine quit Planetarion and gave place to Eagle to lead BlackDeath through Round 5. (Well, Rhine came back to Planetarion after only two weeks as a 'normal' BlackDeath member, not to claim back his former position, however, one more proof Planetarion and BlackDeath keep you forever.)

For Round 5, almost a full new HC got established, however, Pay2Play demanded its tribute and BlackDeath lost more members, Eagle quit BlackDeath to join Legion and Suedey and Hot took over this time. Due to Suedey being very good at negotiations, BlackDeath allied with HR and UV to form the triad by the name of DUH to withstand the new game of super alliances, obviously starting to form in Round 4. We did a nice job there.

Despite the obvious lack of members (from >350 in Round 3 to <100 end of Round 5, public channel #bd from 50+ people all the time to 5-10 people), we covered our members against attacks and went on regular raids, gaining nice roids while loosing only few ships.

Unfortunately, Hot quit Planetarion for Round 5 while Suedeys health decreased, forcing her to stay away from irc and even computer. Finally she had to hand over leadership to _are_, Wizz and T_Bhoy, the triad that actually run the business while she was not able to, asking her advice and informing her about affairs via phone, boards and email.

Round 6, VGN (Vengeance), a small alliance formed in Round 3 with very loyal members merged into BlackDeath. UV had to leave DUH due to internal problems, but BlackDeath and HR continued. Old BlackDeath members of Round 3 and 4 came back in dozens, BlackDeath on the rise again, attacks on our members are fully covered, we controlled several cluster alliances and galaxy attacks happen regularly, resulting in nice roids.

Round 7, BD merged in OI and in the end allied to FAnG. This gave certain trouble as FAnG had more allies within a bigger powerblock BD had no relations with. Nonetheless we stayed loyal to each other and in the end left the power block together. Again we finished the round with some high ranked members and galaxies.

Round 8, we allied to UV and MDK and, with almost noone knowing it, to Titans and LDK. Later in the round we saw more and more of our member activity in shared UV/BD channels and less activity in private single ally channels. And then the unthinkable happened: someone suggested a merge between UV and BD. And more: we found the idea to be good in the end and just did it.

The Merger with Ultra Violence

History of Ultra Violence

From the ruins of the round one Alliance Dominion, came the founders of Ultra Violence. In round two, we were the strong arm behind The Empire as a wing under the name of Ultra Violence, known for retals and great courage in the face of the waves of attacks from Legion and newly found allies FURY. As a wing, we grew little in size but the all members were highly active and skilled warriors, and fought courageously in the face of the oppression under the guidance of highly skilled UV officers.

The Empire started Operation STEL with Sedition and LOST, to create stability in the universe. All went well for a few months, then the unavoidable happened. The Triad saw the threat we posed and decided to test our strength and organization. Under continuous attacks for days at a time, the alliances organization and tactics did not grow to meet demand. So with the end of Operation STEL, TE found, courageously but fell to the masses, the survivors scattering among the alliances or the universe or joined UV.

To meet the demand for targets, defence and retals by its members in round three, UV with less than 100 warriors held our ground alone, with no allies and was the tenth highest alliance, coming under the ruling parties of the triad (VTS, FURY &.RB) and associates. We were able to do this by becoming the Masters of Defensive Tactics. This allowed us to survive the mass incoming from the Triad, which in turn allowed us to turn our attacking fleets out on the universe in search of resources.

We avoided Triad targets and because of our defence and relative small member base, they left us alone, so we roided to our hearts content among the smaller less well-trained alliances. So round three brought us skill of battle. To the end of the round, RB was found to be cheating by the creators, and deleted most of its best and brightness. Legion and Fury, of course in support of the creators and the enviable death of Reborn, decided to take it personally and destroy their once close ally before the rest of us had the chance.

UV, however, on the back of a good round newfound skills and tactics, looked to the past for some guidance into the future. We remembered the possibilities of STEL, and with our technical know how and skills created Project DAMIEN.

So in round four, we joined with LOST, BDU and TSU. Another failure because BDU and LOST had lack of participation and contribution to the alliance. It came to a head when TSU, with number large members in Legion, found some members of their alliance selling out the other alliances members and so the seeds of deceit were laid.

UV fought on bravely with the faithful warriors who survived the aftermath, to finish the round around the rank of twenty, which in the face of massive alliance numbers was not bad, considering we only had two hundred members in the end. Round four brought end with the legendary alliance of Fury and Legion. UV learned the meaning of honour, when she found it lacking in the eyes of her friends, it was often a spoken word that was more than often a mask to hide deceit.

Round five started with a crisis - the announcement of no more free accounts, and so saw the birth of Pay to Play. Alliances struggled to survive with large drops in players from 180,000+ players to 30,000, which meant a lot less targets and possible members. Those who did not or could not pay for a planet, found other games to play.

All the alliances struggled to retain their members who now wanted even more fun out of the game, but there were less targets. Reduced targets called for the skill to attack and grow. UV joined with BlackDeath and Howling Rain to create DarkSun. We organized defence and raiding parties together. The lack of enthusiasm from the members and officers saw to the then gradual break down of the alliance, with a lot of members going to NOS or other alliances who were more than willing to take on the members who were so highly skilled.

In round six, the warriors mainly went their separate ways but came together in war to defend fellow warriors and to talk and remember old times. Real life commitments pulled a majority of the hard-core officers from active duty.

However, the spirit that was UV survived and grew to become a group once more under a new order, the return of the old and the combination of the new in round seven. UV stepped out from behind the shadows and made themselves more publicly known than in previous rounds.

Round 8 was suppose to be the last round of Planetarion and in many ways it was, with the death of Fury and Legion UV's Arch enemies from the past now faded into the mists of time. This round saw major wars fought over every sector of the universe. Super Block against Super Blocks, Allies against Allies, Galaxy Mates against Galaxy Mates. Long time allies broke down and new ones formed. We allied with MDK and BD this proved to be successful for the first month or so, then we saw a steep decline in MDK activity. Along with that there was various Intelligence leaks located in MDK as high up as Command level forcing UV and BD to drop MDK as allies. UV and BD continued to work together until they merged.

The decision to merge with BlackDeath did not come lightly as we are both come with very strong and proud histories of our own. We both had our experience and tools and resources. We had worked together with BlackDeath in the Past and we shared many qualities that we found lacking in other alliances, those of Courage, Honour and Loyalty. So the members decided that it was time for Ultra Violence and BlackDeath to become one under the new name Violent Death
